STRIZO: producer of marble for flooring systems
Looking for a floor finish with a natural and luxurious appearance? Then marble is an interesting choice. At STRIZO Kunststoffen, we supply high-quality marble granules for decorative plastic flooring systems.
Our marble is made from natural marble granules with a solvent-free transparent polyurethane coating. This makes the material not only decorative but also pleasant to work with within the correct flooring system.
What is STRIZO marble?
STRIZO marble is a natural marble granule for use in synthetic flooring. The granule is coated with a transparent polyurethane coating, making the material stronger, less porous and easier to work with.
The result:
- A decorative floor finish
- A natural look
- A colourfast and hard-wearing solution
As this is a natural product, slight colour variations may occur. It is precisely this that also gives marble its own character.
Why choose STRIZO marble?
Decorative and natural look
Marble gives a floor a prestigious and exclusive look. Due to its natural origin, it creates a vibrant image that fits well in spaces where appearance is important.
✔️ Pure natural marble
STRIZO works with natural marble granules. This gives the floor an authentic look that is harder to achieve with artificial fillers.
✔️ Available in 11 colours
The marble is available in 11 colours, including Arabescato, Bardiglio, Botticino, Carrara and Nero Ebano, among others. This allows for different looks and colour combinations.
Colourfast and high UV resistance
STRIZO marble is colourfast and has high UV resistance. This is important for applications where the appearance needs to be maintained long-term.
Better processable with coating
Because the marble has a solvent-free transparent polyurethane coating, it has several advantages:
- Tougher
- Less porous
- Dust-free
- More shine
- Dry
- Easier to process
This ensures the binder is better utilised and not unnecessarily absorbed by the marble.
Marble is used in many applications.
Marble granules are mainly used in flooring systems where appearance and finish play an important role. Consider:
- Exhibition Halls
- Main courses
- Offices
- Housing
- Commercial spaces
- Representative indoor spaces
Due to the combination of natural appearance and technical processability, marble is suitable for decorative synthetic floor finishes.
What makes STRIZO marble special?
STRIZO marble combines the appearance of natural stone with the benefits of a controlled and easily processable system.
Key features include:
- Natural marble aggregate
- 1-4 mm aggregate fraction
- Bulk density of approx. 2.7 kg/litre
- Hardness of 3 – 4 Mohs
- Available in 11 colours
- Packed in 25 kg bags
This makes the material suitable as a decorative component within a complete floor build-up.
Marble is processed in a series of steps. First, blocks of marble are extracted from quarries. These blocks are then transported to a processing facility. There, they are cut into slabs or tiles using large saws, often with diamond-tipped blades. The surfaces of the slabs or tiles are then polished to achieve a smooth, shiny finish. Depending on the intended use, the marble may also be shaped, carved, or treated with sealants to protect it from staining.
Proper processing always begins with the substrate. It must be clean, dry, and free from dust. The substrate must also have sufficient compressive and adhesive strength.
The marble is then processed within the chosen flooring system, combined with the appropriate binder. For internal use, this is mixed with Strizo EP 220, for example. For internal and external applications, Strizo PU 250 can be used.
Laying synthetic floors requires craftsmanship and a correct system build. Only then will both the appearance and the technical quality be fully realised.
