STRIZO: manufacturer of trowel floors

A floor that needs to withstand rough handling? Then you will soon end up with a trowel floor. At STRIZO Plastics, we produce high-quality trowel floors that are strong, wear-resistant and liquid-proof. Ideal for areas where heavy demands are made of the floor.

Our trowel floors combine a sleek appearance with excellent mechanical and chemical resistance. This makes them suitable for both industrial applications and aesthetic projects.

What is a trowel floor?

A trowel floor is a seamless synthetic resin floor based on epoxy binder and coloured quartz materials. The floor is finished with a sealer and a strong topcoat.

The result:

  • A seamless and robust floor
  • Highly wear-resistant
  • Withstands heavy loads

A troweled floor is usually applied in a layer thickness of about 5 to 6 mm. This provides extra strength and durability.

Why choose a trowel floor from STRIZO?

✔️ Very strong and hard-wearing

Trowel floors are extremely strong. They stand up well to heavy loads, impacts and intensive use. Perfect for workshops, industry and kitchens.

✔️ Liquid-tight system

In the right construction, a STRIZO trowel floor meets the requirements for liquid-tight floors. Ideal for wet rooms or environments where liquids are handled.

✔️ Solvent-free and durable

Our systems are solvent-free and comply with modern sustainability requirements such as BREEAM.

✔️ Fire class Bfl-s1

The trowel floors comply with fire class Bfl-s1 (depending on system construction).

✔️ Suitable for HACCP environments

The floor meets the requirements for the food industry (HACCP).

Trowel floors from STRIZO are suitable for, among others:

  • Workshops (automotive)
  • Food industry

The combination of strength and appearance makes trowel floors widely applicable.

Our trowel floor systems

STRIZO offers various trowel floor systems:

🟦 Strizo trowel floor

A strong epoxy trowel floor with coloured quartz materials. Suitable for heavy-duty and aesthetic applications.

🟦 Strizo BO trowel floor

🟦 Strizo trowel industrial

An industrial trowel floor based on a natural sand mix and Strigran. Available in 6 standard colours such as Slate, Calcite, Pebble, Concrete, Stone and Sapphire.

What makes a trowel floor so strong?

A troweled floor has:

  • High compressive strength
  • Excellent impact and shock resistance
  • No shrinkage after curing
  • Withstands temperatures up to 70°C (briefly 85°C)
  • Mechanically loadable after 3 days
  • Chemically chargeable after 7 days

This makes it a reliable choice for tough conditions.

How is a trowel floor applied?

Good preparation is essential:

  1. Preparing substrate
The floor is mechanically sanded or blasted.
  2. Applying primer
EP 110 is applied for optimal adhesion.
  3. Trowel mixing
EP 280N is mixed with the appropriate quartz or sand mixture.
  4. Application and compaction
The floor is applied with a trowel or pull-tab and compacted.
  5. Sealing and painting
Finish with sealer and top coating for protection and appearance.

After about 24 hours, the floor is walkable (at 20°C).
